The 350 Home & Garden Challenge will take place this year on May 18-19 in front yards and backyards all across the county. This event encourages thousands to transform Sonoma County homes and gardens by taking practical actions such as replacing lawns with edible landscapes, installing greywater systems, line-drying clothing, or going car-free.

SV GLEANING PROJECT- COMMUNITY OPPORTUNITIES!

Volunteer at Sonoma Garden Park!
Volunteers play a huge role at the Garden. Become a regular volunteer and grow your gardening knowledge while meeting some wonderful people. 
Drop-in volunteers are welcome:
  • Every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 9:00-2:00 in the Garden.
  • Every 2nd Saturday of the month from 9-12 in the Garden’s Native Plant Nursery.

Prestwood School Garden needs some helping hands!
Looking for a place to garden? The garden program at the public schools is thriving thanks to volunteer help. One local school, Prestwood Elementary, is in need of help. You could do a wonderful public service to help get the garden growing and share in the harvest. Contact Ed Clay at 224-3169.

The public is invited to experience a film that has launched a world-wide social movement inspiring people to be change makers.

Who Cares?, a feature film of 92 minutes, was shot in seven different countries in North and South America, Europe and Africa using 20 locations over a 40-day period.
